Former Arizona State standout and current Houston Rockets guard James Harden is once again a finalist for the NBA MVP award.
The NBA announced LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Harden as the three finalist for the league MVP on Wednesday.
League MVP will be presented at the 2018 NBA Awards on Monday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
Harden is considered the favorite to win the award. The Rockets finished the regular season with the NBA’s best record and he’s the best player on the team. Two factors that play heavily in winning the award.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 30.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds during the regular season.
Harden’s been in the NBA for eight years. This would be his first MVP award if he wins.
The Arizona State product is currently battling the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The best of seven series is all knotted up at 1 apiece.
