Confidently, the 7-foot-1 forward only booked a training session with the Suns. Phoenix owns the top pick in the draft, and all indicators point toward the Suns choosing Ayton.
Suns brass got a good look at Ayton last year with him being so close in proximity. Ayton played college basketball roughly two hours south of Phoenix in Tucson. In his lone season with the Wildcats, Ayton averaged 20.1 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. His dominant freshman season won him Pac-12 Freshman and Player of the Year.
