Arizona will open against St. Francis (Pa.), which won the Northeast Conference, on Friday, May 18, while the other half of the double-elimination regional will feature Mississippi State against North Dakota State. The regional final is set for Sunday, May 20.
Overall, seven Pac-12 schools made the 2018 tourney field with five set to host regionals.
With a 13-11 record in Pac-12 play, Arizona finished fifth in the conference.
Arizona has won 11 of its last 12 games, giving the Wildcats plenty of momentum heading into the postseason. The Wildcats have also made the NCAA Tournament 32 years in a row including Sunday’s selection, the longest active streak in the nation.
If Arizona were to win its regional it could face UCLA, which earned the No. 3 overall seed, in the super regional for a bid to the Women’s College World Series.
