The Chicago Bulls announced via Twitter that the team signed forward Lauri Markkanen to his rookie contract.
The Bulls drafted Markkanen No. 7 overall in June’s NBA Draft after Chicago acquired him through a trade with the Minnesota that sent Jimmy Butler to the Timberwolves and Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine to Chicago.
We’ve officially signed our first-round pick, @MarkkanenLauri!

Due to a team policy, terms of Markkanen’s contract weren’t released. The former Arizona Wildcat averaged 15.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in his lone season in Tucson, Ariz.
