The Arizona Wildcats are moving up on point guard James Akinjo’s list.
Akinjo moved up his visit to Tucson. According to Matt Moreno of Rivals.com, Akinjo rescheduled his visit to Arizona this weekend. The Salesian High School (Richmond, Calif.,) point guard canceled his trip to Tennessee and instead will take his official visit to Tucson.
The 4-star point guard is rated as the 95th best player in the country and California’s eighth best prep by 247 Sports. He is part of the 2018 recruiting class.
Arizona only has one commitment thus far in the 2018 recruiting class. The FBI’s ongoing pay-for-play probe involving college basketball teams has negatively affected Arizona, a school named in the investigation.
Shooting guard Devonaire Doutrive committed to the Wildcats in last week. Doutrive represents the lone Arizona commitment.
