Point guard James Akinjo is scheduled to visit Tucson.
The 4-star Salesian High School (Richmond, Calif.,) point guard is going to make an official visit to Arizona, per 247 Sports’ Jason Scheer.
Akinjo is rated as the 95th best player in the country and California’s eighth best prep by 247 Sports. The point guard is part of the 2018 recruiting class.
Arizona only has one commitment thus far in the 2018 recruiting class. The FBI’s ongoing pay-for-play probe involving college basketball teams has negatively affected Arizona, a school named in the investigation.
Shooting guard Devonaire Doutrive committed to the Wildcats in last week. Doutrive represents the lone Arizona commitment.
