Peterson’s Odessa teammate — linebacker Matt Jones — committed to the Bears earlier in the day.
In the 247Sports composite rankings, Peterson is a 3-star prospect. He’s the No. 97 prospect in the state of Texas and the No. 71 offensive tackle prospect overall. At 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, he possesses a big frame and is expected to hold down the blind side for the Bears.
Peterson is the only offensive tackle committed to Baylor.
