It was a solid night for Baylor women’s basketball as the Lady Bears picked up a pair of commitments, including one from the No. 4-ranked prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100.
Aquira DeCosta, a 6-foot-2 forward from Saint Mary’s (Calif.) High School, verbally announced her committed to Baylor on Tuesday.

According to ESPN, DeCosta took her official visit to Baylor last weekend and committed to the Lady Bears over the likes of Louisville, Southern Cal, South Carolina and Tennessee.
In addition to DeCosta, the Bears also picked up a commitment from the No. 2-ranked point guard in the 2018 class, Honesty Scott-Grayson, on Tuesday.
DeCosta and Scott-Grayson give the Lady Bears four commits for the 2018 class. Each of Baylor’s commits are listed as 5-star prospects by ESPN and ranked in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100.
