The Baylor Bears beat history on Sunday when they swept the TCU Horned Frogs.
The sweep was 18 years in the making. Baylor hadn’t swept the Horned Frogs since 2000, according to BaylorBears.com.
Baylor had to come back to complete the sweep. A big sixth inning and stellar pitching led the Bears to the third victory in the series. Baylor crushed TCU in the first two games, 6-0 and 6-2.
The Bears have now won six games in a row, and will likely get a seventh win before another winnable season next weekend at Kansas State.
Baylor’s win over TCU keeps their postseason hopes alive in a Big 12 race that is swiftly becoming close at the top and middle ranks. The top tier has separated themselves from the pack, but Baylor can still snag a favorable seed in the Big 12 Tournament if they keep winning and TCU keeps losing.
