Baylor starting tight end Jordan Feuerbacher is expected to return on Saturday against No. 3 Oklahoma in Waco, Texas, per John Werner of the Waco Tribune-Herald.
Feuerbacher missed two games for Baylor after suffering an injured hand against Liberty. The senior has 29 appearances and 10 starts in his career, and earned All-Big 12 second team from Pro Football Focus in 2017.
Baylor’s offense struggled mightily without Feuerbacher in the lineup. The Bears accumulated just 594 yards of offense and 30 points against UTSA and Duke without Feuerbacher out. Baylors scored 45 points and accumulated 532 yards against Liberty.
Backup tight end Ish Wainright also missed last week’s game against Duke with an undisclosed illness. He started in Feuerbacher’s absence against UTSA, but remains doubtful for this Saturday’s game.
Feuerbacher has 9 catches for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns in his career. He had one catch for 10 yards against Oklahoma last season in Norman, Okla.
Cornerback Jordan Tolbert is still out while recovering from shoulder surgery.
