A 5-star prospect, Watford has visited five of his eight finalists thus far, with the exceptions being Vanderbilt, Florida State and Kansas.
Of those still standing, Penny Hardaway’s program is considered front-runners weeks after his most recent May 30 trip to Memphis. The Tigers currently own 70 percent of Watford’s Crystal Ball projections.
As a junior, the 6-foot-9, 227-pound Watford averaged 23.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 12 player, the No. 3 power forward and No. 1 player in Alabama, per the 247Sports composite.
