With 17 offers to choose from, College Station (Texas) safety Brandon Joseph cut his list of options to eight schools on Sunday, and Texas Tech and Iowa State each survived the cut.
Arizona, Colorado, Northwestern, Purdue, Utah, and Vanderbilt were also named as Joseph’s top schools at this point in the recruiting process.

Ranked as a 3-star prospect, Joseph recently took his first official visit to Texas Tech on June 8, and Arizona will receive an official visit, as well. Joseph’s lone Crystal Ball projection, however, favors Utah.
Listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Joseph totaled 119 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 13 pass breakups, and 7 interceptions as a junior. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 90 safety and the No. 136 player in Texas, per the 247Sports composite.
Texas Tech is without a safety pledge this cycle. Iowa State holds one safety commit in the form of 3-star Missouri product Vonzell Kelley.
Joseph is aiming to announce his commitment toward the end of the summer or the beginning of his senior season.
