Trae Young and Mo Bamba, two of the top NBA draft prospects from the Big 12, showed off their sense of humor in a skit with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night.
The two potential lottery picks joined the Tonight Show with some of the other top players in the draft. All the players were featured in a parody of a ’90s sitcom theme song, and it was pretty great. Young bakes a very unappetizing basketball in the oven for dinner. Bamba’s Texas jersey gets ruined because it was in a load of laundry with Collin Sexton’s Alabama uniform.
It’s the latest evidence that Young has a nice sense of humor after a Foot Locker commercial in which he poked fun at himself aired earlier this week.
The video hits the classic sitcom tone of the late ’80s and early ’90s perfectly. It reminds you of some of the all-time great themes from that age, such as Family Matters or Full House.
Bamba is generally projected to be a top-five pick in the draft. Young is expected to be taken in the lottery and possibly the top 10.
The draft begins at 6 p.m. CT Thursday.
