Anusiem is a 6-foot-2, 171-pound safety from Sonora High School in La Habra, Calif. Ranked No. 86 in the country for his position, Anusiem also received offers from Arizona, Army, Hawaii, Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington State, among several others.
Cal now has 11 recruits committed to its Class of 2018, and all 11 hail from California. While Anusiem is the only safety, he is one of five current recruits on defense, joining defensive ends Nick Alftin and JH Tevis, and linebackers Omari Harris and Evan Tattersall.
The Bears’ other commitments from the past two days include Tattersall and tackles Will Craig and Miles Owens.
