Since announcing in January he would transfer from Cal for his final year of eligibility, running back Tre Watson has been courted by several FBS schools looking for a versatile offensive weapon. Only three are still in consideration: LSU, TCU and Texas.
I want to thank all the coaches for an incredible opportunity to go to grad school and play my last season of eligibility. I am truly blessed to be in this position and I will be making my final decision very soon 🙏🏾🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/qrHedHyE78

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Watson appeared in two games last season before suffering a right knee injury. In 2016, he ran for 709 yards and 4 touchdowns and caught 21 passes for 241 yards and 4 TDs. In his career, he’s amassed 1,759 rushing and receiving yards with 13 scores.
According to 247Sports, Texas appears to be Watson’s likely destination because of his fondness for Longhorns running backs coach Stan Drayton.
