Former Cal running back C.J. Anderson is looking for a new team.
The Denver Broncos are releasing the sixth-year running back, per The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala.
Denver is releasing Anderson after a career year for the running back. The Cal product rushed for a career-high 1,007 yards last season for the Broncos. He was the first running back to eclipse 1,000 yards in Denver since Knowshon Moreno.
The Broncos signed Anderson as an undrafted free agent in 2013. Denver is the only place he’s played in during his NFL career.
Anderson was due $4.5M million in salary this season. He should be able to find a new home relatively soon.
