The Boston Celtics don’t have Kyrie Irving, but they do have Jaylen Brown.
The former California Golden Bear went for a career high in points on Friday night to lead the injured Celtics to a home victory over the listless Chicago Bulls.

Brown has come into his own in the absence of Irving, but as often goes with young players, struggles to do it on a consistent basis. Before his 32-point explosion, Brown scored only nine points on 4 for 9 shooting in his most recent performance. The game prior to that, he poured in 21. Such is life for a second-year NBA player.
None of that mattered on Friday night, though, when Brown dropped 32 on 11 of 19 shooting, including 7 of 10 from deep. Boston improved to 54-25 with the win.
