Former Clemson football wide receiver Mike Williams will turn 23 years old in only a couple months.
But the Los Angeles Chargers, who took him in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, apparently were a little bit excited and jumped the gun on Friday. The Chargers wished the No. 7 overall pick a happy birthday on Twitter, on Aug. 4 instead of Oct. 4.

Williams reportedly is expected to miss preseason camp due to a back injury.
Williams caught 177 passes for 1,361 yards and 21 touchdowns in his career at Clemson, which spanned three full seasons and one game in 2016. Williams fractured his neck in the first game of the 2016 season making a touchdown catch and missed the rest of the season
