Clemson walked out of the 2018 recruiting cycle with the country’s sixth-ranked class. That’s largely in part to the terrific job Jeff Scott did.
Now the Clemson co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach is being rewarded as the 247Sports’ ACC Recruiter of the Year.
Scott was the main recruiter for offensive tackle Jordan McFadden, kicker BT Potter, defensive tackle Josh Belk, and receivers Derion Kendrick and Justyn Ross.
Scott earned the award by assisting Clemson in signing 12 prospects rated four stars or higher in its 17-player class.
Overall, Clemson landed the top-ranked player in six states during the 2018 cycle.
Scott, who was previously a recruiting coordinator for the Tigers, has been serving as a Clemson full-time since 2009. Scott is a former Tigers player and began his coaching at Clemson in 2008 as a graduate assistant.
