Clemson fans won’t get a championship ring for winning the national championship like the football players and coaching staff will, but local fans will be able to purchase a different piece of memorabilia. Coca-Cola announced Thursday it will released limited edition bottles celebrating the Tigers national championship victory against Alabama.
The commemorative bottles should be arriving in stores at some point next week.
This was the Clemson football program’s first national title since 1981. The Tigers have gone 28-2, won the ACC championship and appeared in the national championship game each twice over the last two years.
Clemson will begin its title defense at home against Kent on Sept. 2.
