The wife of a PGA Tour professional and former Clemson golfer was arrested on Saturday on charges of domestic battery, according to reports released on Tuesday.
The Daily Mail reports that Krista Glover, the wife of Lucas Glover, “was arrested by St. Johns County (Fla.) Sheriff’s deputies late Saturday” at a home the couple was staying at during The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Glover was a participant in the annual tournament.
According to the report, Glover “told deputies Krista gets violent every time he doesn’t play well in a major PGA tournament.” It also states that Krista Glover “allegedly went off on him at dinner time and showered him with insults” after he finished with a 6-over-par 78 during the tournament’s third round.
“Deputies noted in their reports there were fresh lacerations to Lucas’ right arm and ‘multiple lacerations’ to both his 62-year-old mother Hershey Glover’s arms as well as blood on her clothes,” the Daily Mail reported.
Lucas Glover released a statement on his Twitter account regarding the incident.

A Greenville, S.C., native, Glover played golf at Clemson from 1998 to 2001, being named an All-American in 2000 before turning professional. His most notable win came in 2009, when he won the U.S. Open.
