Dixon’s recruitment appeared to be over in June when he committed to the Tennessee Volunteers. But with uncertainty surrounding the status of now-former Vols coach Butch Jones, he de-committed shortly after Tennessee dropped a 15-9 heartbreaker to South Carolina on Oct. 14. Jones would eventually be fired on Nov. 12, a day after a humiliating 50-17 loss at Missouri.
Dixon officially visited Clemson last month and has one final official visit lined up to Oklahoma State starting Friday. He plans to sign on Dec. 20, the first day of the early signing period.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he is the No. 7 all-purpose running back in the Class of 2018.
