May is only three days old but so far it’s been one of the best recruiting months in recent memory for Colorado. Two days after landing 4-star wide receiver Braedin Huffman-Dixon, the Buffaloes’ highest-ranked commit in two years, they got a second pledge in the form of 3-star cornerback KJ Trujillo.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Trujillo is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 759 player in the 2019 recruiting class and the 67th-best corner. From Orange, California, he’s rated as the No. 82 player from that state (while Huffman-Dixon is the No. 28 prospect from California).
Trujillo’s commitment came after making an unofficial visit to Boulder last weekend. He had nine scholarship offers, including recent ones from Oregon and Oregon State.
is Colorado’s sixth commit for 2019, a group that ranks No. 31 nationally and fourth-best in the Pac-12 behind Washington, Oregon and California.
