Former Duke guard Quinn Cook is getting his NBA shot and making the most of it. Cook scored a career-high 30 points on Thursday night against the Milwaukee Bucks — he’s thriving in Stephen Curry’s absence for the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Cook was extremely productive at Duke, but was never considered a surefire NBA prospect. He went undrafted in 2015.
But after improving his game in the (then) D-League, Cook is playing a pivotal role on a team aiming for its third championship in four years.
Duke has plenty of stars in the NBA, but Cook is an unlikely success story. That has to make Mike Krzyzewski and company happy.
