The Florida State Seminoles added a big piece to its 2019 recruiting class on Saturday, gaining a commitment from Emanuel County (Ga.) Institute defensive end Curtis Fann.
Fann confirmed the news on his Twitter account shortly after reports surfaced of his decision.

Ranked as the No. 15 weakside defensive end in the country by the 247Sports.com composite ranking, Fann was involved with Auburn, Louisville and Oregon in recent weeks. But the Seminoles, who re-offered him in January 2018 after Willie Taggart replaced Jimbo Fisher as coach, ended up getting his pledge in the end.
Fann finished with 64 tackles, including 7.0 sacks as a sophomore at Emanuel County Institute. His commitment gives the Seminoles 12 players in the Class of 2019, the No. 9 class nationally and No. 2 in the ACC.
The crown jewel is 5-star commitment Akeem Dent, rated by 247Sports as the No. 3 cornerback in the country.
