Florida State will hold its spring game on Saturday. Rather than a traditional offense versus defense game, the teams — Garnet and Gold — were formed during a draft held this past weekend. What’s interesting is that five offensive linemen went off the board first, instead of a position such as quarterback or running back.
While bragging rights will be on the line between the two teams, there will also be a little something extra to motivate all of the players, according to coach Willie Taggart.
The winners get steak. Losers get hot dogs and the losers gotta serve.

If you’re a big, bulky offensive lineman or a member of the defensive line, that’s an easy sell to go out and try to win the game. As a matter of fact, if you’re anyone on the team — period — that should be motivation enough so that you aren’t the ones serving up a big slab of steak to your teammates.
Give it up for Taggart. In the run-up to his first spring game, he’s shown that he’s not afraid to have a little fun if it means getting the best out of his players.
