Former Florida State center Ike Obiagu has transferred to Seton Hall, according to a report from Jon Rothstein. Obiagu will have to sit one season but has three years of eligibility remaining.
Obiagu is a unique talent, and losing him stings for the Seminoles. While he was limited offensively, he averaged 2.1 blocks in just 10.7 minutes per game. Obiagu projects as a player who can turn into a defensive terror with the right coaching.
Former Seton Hall star Angel Delgado is gone, so the Pirates had a void at center, and Obiagu should fill it once he’s eligible. The Seminoles have plenty of depth, but they’ll need to replace Obiagu’s rim protection on the recruiting trail or transfer market.
