During halftime of Florida State’s basketball game against Loyola (Md.), fans were able to hear from new football coach Willie Taggart. Judging from the reception he received at the Tucker Center, they seemed quite excited to have him there.

“I’m very, very excited to be your football coach,” Taggart told the crowd. “I’m glad to be back here in the state of Florida. I’m glad to be in Tallahassee. I’m glad to represent this great university, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Taggart also led the crowd in the Tomahawk Chop and had a chance to get up close and personal with some students afterward.

The Bradenton, Fla. native, who grew up a Seminoles fan, vowed to return the program to its high standing.
“I can’t wait to see our defense, our offense, our special teams get back to winning the way that I saw it growing up,” he said.
It looks – and sounds – as if Seminoles fans can’t wait to see the Taggart era start, either.
