Georgia Tech basketball officially added Lehigh grad transfer Brandon Alston on Wednesday, the program announced.
“We are excited with the addition of Brandon,” said Pastner. “He gives us added depth and experience as he is 22 years of age, so he understands the process. On top of that he graduated from a great academic institution in Lehigh in three years, which is extremely impressive with an economics degree.”
Alston averaged 6.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Mountain Hawks last season, starting the final 10 games. He shot 45.6 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from 3-point range.
Alston, a 6-5 guard from Vienna, Va., joins the Yellow Jackets after playing two seasons for the Mountain Hawks. He will be eligible to play immediately and has two years of eligibility remaining.
Alston appeared in 62 games with 11 starts in his two seasons at Lehigh. He averaged 5.8 points, while shooting 42.5 percent from the floor, 35.5 percent from three-point range and 73.0 percent from the foul line
