Justin Thomas is continuing his pursuit of playing on the gridiron beyond his days at Georgia Tech football and he found another opportunity.
The former Yellow Jackets quarterback signed with the Los Angeles Rams, according to multiple reports. The Rams signed Thomas as a wide receiver, a shift from playing defensive back with the New Orleans Saints this summer.
Thomas was Georgia Tech’s starting quarterback from 2014-16, passing for 4,469 yards and rushing for 2,370 in its triple-option offense. He caught on with the Saints after going undrafted following a senior season that saw him account for 2,163 yards of total offense — 1,559 passing, 604 rushing — in his third season as the starting quarterback.
