Former Iowa State hoops star Georges Niang is making his presence felt in the NBA’s G League.
Niang made first-team All-G League for his efforts with the Salt Lake City Stars and the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Niang averaged 16.1 points per game over his career at Iowa State, including 20.5 his senior season.
He was a second-team All-American as a senior and is Iowa State’s first player to reach four straight NCAA tournaments. Niang also holds the program record for wins by a player.
He was taken by the Indiana Pacers with the 50th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft before being waived and signed by the Warriors. He was waived by Golden State and signed by the Santa Cruz Warriors, then signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz to play for the main team and its G League affiliate, the Salt Lake Stars.
With the Stars, Niang averaged 22 points and 7 rebounds per game this season.
