Iowa State anticipates Kyle Kempt will be available for Baylor game

Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell expects quarterbacks Kyle Kempt and Zeb Noland to be available against Baylor on Saturday, according to Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register.

Kempt was listed as “day to day” by Campbell on Monday, but his apparent shoulder injury doesn’t seem to be serious.

Kempt exited last week’s 49-42 loss to Oklahoma State with 101 yards passing, 1 touchdown and was 12 for 18 passing.

Noland threw for 263 yards and went 17 for 28 in place of the quarterback who has helped Iowa State achieve bowl eligibility and knock off Oklahoma and TCU this season.

Iowa State and Baylor are set for a 2:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday on FSN.
