Beal is the third wide receiver in the 2019 Iowa State recruiting class. He joins 3-star Arizona wide receiver D’Shayne James and 3-star Bettendorf, Iowa, native Darien Porter, both of whom committed in December. Beal represents the eighth commitment for the Class of 2019. The Cyclones class is ranked No. 33 in the country and No. 5 in the Big 12, according to the 247Sports composite team rankings.
Iowa State was the first team to offer Beal in December, and he has been considered a likely Cyclones commit since. A 6-foot-5, 205-pound target, Beal hauled in 612 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns as a junior.
Beal visited Iowa State earlier this month, and he fits the mold of other tall wide receivers who have flourished at Iowa State, including Allen Lazard and current Cyclones starter Hakeem Butler. The 247Sports composite lists Beal as the No. 104 wide receiver, No. 107 player in Texas and the No. 833 player overall in the Class of 2019.
