Kansas State men’s basketball will reportedly be without its biggest asset when the Wildcats face Kansas on Friday in the Big 12 Tournament.
Kansas State forward Dean Wade is unlikely to play vs. the Jayhawks due to a foot injury from earlier in the year that he recently aggravated, according to KMAN’s Tyler Dreiling,
Should Wade indeed be absent on Friday, it would be a tremendous loss for Bruce Weber and the Wildcats as they go up against the Big 12 regular-season champions. Wade leads Kansas State in points (16.5) and rebounds (6.3) per game.
Wade scored 12 points in the team’s 66-64 overtime win vs. TCU on Thursday. He scored 24 and 25 points, respectively, in Kansas State’s final two games of the regular season. Wade earned Big 12 first-team honors from the league’s coaches for his efforts this season.
Kansas State and Kansas tip-off at 6 p.m. CT from Sprint Center in Kansas City. The winner will advance to the Big 12 Tournament title game on Saturday.
