Kansas State’s 2019 recruiting class is coming together piece by piece, as the Wildcats landed two new additions to the group on Monday.
Kansas State received commitments from athlete Keenan Garber (Lawrence, Kan.) and dual-threat quarterback Velton Gardner (Dallas) — the latter a 3-star prospect and the No. 56 prospect in Texas in the 2019 class, per the 247Sports composite.

While Kansas was the only other Power 5 school to extend an offer to Garber, the Wildcats won a recruiting battle against Texas Tech, Colorado, Syracuse, SMU and others for Gardner. His addition continues a trend of recent dual-threat quarterbacks heading to Manhattan, with Alex Delton and Skylar Thompson already on the roster.
Kansas State’s 2019 recruiting class ranks eighth in the Big 12 and 70th in the nation.
