Hunt, a 3-star prospect per the 247Sports composite rankings, announced his de-commitment on Twitter and added that his recruiting process is “closed.” The receiver from Texarkana, Texas, originally committed to the Jayhawks in April. Kansas was one of only two Power 5 offers for Hunt at the time, along with Iowa State.
Hunt’s decision could ultimately land him at a different school in the Big 12. He now has offers from Oklahoma State and TCU.
Hunt is the No. 92 overall prospect in the state of Texas. All of the 247Sports crystal ball projections have him committing to play for the Horned Frogs.
