The Jayhawks have an expected campus arrival time of 10:30 p.m. CT. And it appears they will have an army of fans waiting to greet them as they return home from their wild overtime win vs. Duke in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
Kansas is headed to the Final Four for the first time since 2012. Kansas last won the national title in 2008, coincidentally the last time the Final Four was hosted at the 2018 venue — the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The Jayhawks are the lone Big 12 team heading to the Final Four after three made the Elite Eight. Kansas will face Villanova on March 31, with the victor taking on the winner of Michigan and Loyola-Chicago in the national title game on April 2.
But for now, the celebration continues for Kansas fans, and one of the most storied arenas in college basketball is set to get loud one more time in front of this current group of Jayhawks players.
