The Kansas Jayhawks are keeping an eye on the future, as they made a scholarship offer to the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2020, Jalen Green, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.com.
Green is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno, California. He grades out at a .9999 in 247Sports’ composite ranking, just one ten-thousandth of a point short of a perfect score.
If that seems high, please check out Green’s highlight mixtapes, which are truly remarkable:
He’s only 16 years old right now, so he still might stretch out his frame before graduating high school. Other top schools are already closing in on Green, as he holds offers from Arizona, UCLA and Villanova, among others.
Kansas is currently a bit preoccupied the a recruiting battle for Romeo Langford, a Top 5 prospect in 2018. But it’s clear they see something special in Green if coach Bill Self is already willing to make him an offer.
