Kansas men’s basketball will be looking to prove critics wrong once again when it faces Villanova in the Final Four next weekend.
The Jayhawks opened as 5-point underdogs to the Wildcats in the battle of No. 1 seeds scheduled for Saturday night in San Antonio, per VegasInsider.com.
Kansas defeated Duke in overtime on Sunday, 85-81, to advance to its first Final Four since 2012. Kansas is coming off its 14th straight season with at least a share of the Big 12 regular season title. The Jayhawks also won the Big 12 Tournament.
Kansas and Villanova are set to tip off 40 minutes after the conclusion of the Michigan-Loyola-Chicago game earlier on Saturday, which is set for 5:09 p.m. CT. Loyola, a No. 11 seed, is also a five-point underdog for its matchup with the Wolverines. The winners will play for the national title on Monday, April 2.
Villanova has defeated two straight Big 12 opponents heading into the Final Four. The Wildcats beat West Virginia in the Sweet Sixteen before ousting Texas Tech in the Elite Eight.
