Louisville football was right there with Clemson in 2015, losing 20-17 in a hard-fought battle between two of the ACC’s premier teams.
So going into 2016, Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson and his teammates wanted a better result against Clemson. Instead, it was a similar result, with the Cardinals falling 42-36 at Clemson early in the season.
The Tigers, of course, would go on to win the national championship by defeating Alabama.
Now, Jackson and his teammates are back in a similar spot, which he addressed on Thursday at ACC media days.
Big grin from Louisville's Lamar Jackson when he's asked about a Clemson rematch. "We thought last year was our year … gotta finish."
