The Louisville Cardinals football program landed 3-star cornerback Chandler Jones after he announced his commitment via Twitter on Thursday.
“I really feel like I have found my home for the next chapter of my life,” he wrote on Twitter. “With that being said, I would now like to announce that I AM COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE ! #BirdGang18 #L1C4.”

From Miami Central High School in Hollywood, Fla., the 5-foot-10, 170-pound Jones is considered the 136th-best cornerback and 1,415-best overall player in the 2018 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Jones is also rated the 230th-best prospect of that class in Florida. In addition to Louisville, he received offers from Kentucky, South Carolina, Utah, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Rutgers and others, including a few Ivy League schools.
There’s still a long way to go, but Louisville’s 2018 recruiting class is ranked 10th in the ACC and 44th overall according to 247Sports. Last year, the Cardinals’ recruiting class finished sixth in the conference.
