Stefan LeFors was a good quarterback for Louisville in the early 2000s. He ranks seventh in school history in passing yards (5,853) and touchdowns passes (38).
For his efforts, LeFors will have his No. 17 honored by Louisville on Saturday, when the Cardinals take on Syracuse in their final home game. LeFors will be the 23rd player in program history to have his number honored.

The lefty’s best season came in 2004, when he led Louisville to an 11-1 record and a Conference USA championship. LeFors also holds the program’s all-time completion percentage record.
It should be a cool moment for Bobby Petrino, who coached LeFors in those days and is now dealing with a living legend in Lamar Jackson.
It’s always good to honor your own.
