Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson won the Heisman Trophy last year, but he apparently still has something to prove to FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt.
The analyst ranked his top five quarterbacks heading into the 2017 season and notably left off the Cardinals signal caller. He didn’t even mention Jackson in the entire video.
Here are Klatt’s top five signal callers and the video with his explanations:
5. Trace McSorley, Penn State
4. Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma
3. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State
2. J.T. Barrett, Ohio State
1. Sam Darnold, USC

Jackson and the Cardinals limped to the finish line last season by losing their final three games, including a heartbreaker to rival Kentucky and to LSU in the Citrus Bowl.
But it’s still hard to argue that Jackson wasn’t the most dynamic player in all of college football, let alone at his position. He accumulated 5,114 yards of offense and scored 51 touchdowns. He was efficient in the passing game, averaging 8.7 yards per attempt and totaling 9 interceptions. Jackson also averaged 6 yards per rush.
Sporting News, Athlon Sports and Sports on Earth ranked Jackson No. 1 on their lists of top college quarterbacks heading into 2017. Maybe an argument can be made that Jackson doesn’t belong at the top of the quarterback list, but it seems odd not to include him in the top five.
