The Louisville Cardinals have yet to make it official, but it appears as though the men’s basketball team has finalized its non-conference schedule for the 2017-18 season.
Nebraska-Omaha announced its schedule Thursday, which included a matchup with Louisville on Nov. 17. The Cardinals begin the season on Nov. 12 versus George Mason, but the game against St. Francis (PA) was moved from Nov. 17 to Nov. 24. Louisville’s matchup with Nebraska-Omaha will be its second of the season.
Nebraska-Omaha went 18-14 last season but reached the Summit League Tournament championship tilt. Nebraska-Omaha moved up into Division I before the 2012-13 season and are still waiting for the program’s first NCAA Tournament bid.
Elsewhere on the Cardinals’ non-conference schedule, Rick Pitino’s squad will face Purdue (Nov. 28), Seton Hall (Dec. 3), Indiana (Dec. 9), Memphis (Dec. 16) and Kentucky (Dec. 29) before opening up the ACC schedule.
