It took a little more than a quarter, but the Miami Hurricanes finally broke out their turnover chain at Heinz Field on Friday.
An erron snap created a loose ball in the Pitt backfield on the first play in the second quarter against the Panthers. Hurricanes sophomore outside linebacker Michael Pinckney jumped on the loose ball, earning his right to don the coveted turnover chain.

Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, they weren’t able to capitalize on the great field position and score any points. But Miami did score a touchdown on the following drive to take a 7-3 lead against Pitt about halfway through the second quarter.
