Before the ink dries on the contract extension that locks Mark Richt into coaching Miami Hurricanes football through 2023, the basketball program has a request. Somebody needs to check to see if Richt has any college eligibility left.
From the Twitterverse, the Miami football account posted a video of Coach Richt tickling the twine from long distance on the hardwood on Friday morning. And the Miami basketball account took notice.

While you can’t expect Richt to rise and fire above lengthy NBA two-guards (not with that set shot, at least), he’s showing some pretty impressive catch and shoot ability here. The release is clean and pure while the finish is silky, much to the delight of all his players crowded around him.
A quick Google search doesn’t turn up any obvious results that Richt played high school basketball in Boca Raton before playing quarterback for the Hurricanes in college, but with a stroke like that we know he’s putting it on the old man’s rec game whenever he finds the time in Coral Gables.
