The Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team are expected to be a major player in the ACC this coming season. But they will face their first bit of adversity of the year months before the season begins.
Incoming Hurricanes freshman guard Lonnie Walker tore his right meniscus Tuesday and will need surgery according to The News & Observer. The timetable for his return is unknown and won’t be determined until after his surgery.
The 6-foot-5, 206-pound guard is a 5-star prospect from Reading, Pa. He was the second-best shooting guard and 15th-best overall player on the 247Sports composite rankings. Walker was also the highest rated prospect for the Hurricanes in six years.
