Add Central Michigan to the 2019 Miami football schedule, according to reports on Monday.
The game will take place at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 21, 2019, with the first report coming from Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman.
Central Michigan joins Florida on the nonconference schedule for the Hurricanes in 2019, as the team will open on Aug. 31 against the Gators in Orlando in a marquee nonconference game.
The addition of Central Michigan to the Miami football schedule did lead to one change to its nonconference slate, as FBSchedules.com noted that it means a scheduled game against Florida Atlantic will be moved.
Central Michigan will play at Miami (FL) on Sept.21, 2019. As a result, Chippewas move 2019 game at Florida Atlantic to 2024.

Miami is 5-0 against Mid-American Conference opponents.
The Hurricanes also have future out-of-conference games scheduled with LSU in Arlington, Texas (2018), Michigan State (2020 and 2021), and Texas A&M (2022 and 2023).
“A game against Miami — a university with a history of being a national title contender — fulfills a promise we make to our student-athletes that we will compete against the best,” CMU athletic director Michael Alford said in a statement. “It also puts us in a state with a large contingent of CMU alumni, giving them a convenient opportunity to take in a Chippewa football game.”
