Miami loses TE Christopher Herndon for game to left knee injury
Christopher Herndon was one of Miami’s few bright spots on offense Friday. The Hurricanes will have to come back against Pitt without him. The tight end has been ruled out with a let knee injury, according to Miami radio station WQAM.
With just more than 12 minutes to go in Pittsburgh, quarterback Malik Rosier was 12 for 30 with 129 yards and a touchdown. Herndon had 3 of those catches or 41 yards and was the only target Rosier could consistently connect with. The senior’s 3 catches at Heinz Field came on 3 targets.
The Hurricanes, who trail 17-7, have managed only four 1st downs during the second half. A 16-yard catch by Herndon was one of those.
