Miami defensive back Michael Jackson has had his share of key moments on the football field.
Off the field, though, he has experienced a moment that will beat any of those – or any to come.
The All-ACC cornerback, who made 43 tackles and 4 interceptions en route to all-conference second team honors in 2017, introduced his Twitter followers to his newborn son, Michael Jr., who arrived on Friday evening. And he already has his own turnover chain:

Jackson received a healthy round of congratulations on social media, including from Hurricanes running back Mark Walton:
My guy welcome to Fatherhood! You know what's next #Grind

Who knows? Maybe Michael Jr. will follow in his father’s footsteps and end up in Miami’s secondary 20 years from now? It’s too early to speculate on that, but before you know it, you’ll likely be reading all about him in the recruiting databases.
Congratulations to Michael Sr. on his new, healthy arrival. He’ll have an extra bit of motivation when he hits the field for his senior season in 2018.
